What the tiers actually mean

Batch is the factory grade, and it is the single most useful word in this hobby. Top tier — PK God, LJR, BG depending on the model — is built to mirror retail down to stitching, stamps, box and accessories; it is what you want for a grail you will wear constantly and photograph, or anything that will face close inspection from other enthusiasts. Premium tier (B12, player batch and similar) uses near-identical materials with only minor finishing gaps, and for many silhouettes it is genuinely hard to tell apart in normal wear — the smart value choice for daily rotation. Standard tier looks right at arm's length and is perfect for trying a silhouette before you commit to a higher tier.

The mistake the picker is designed to prevent goes both ways. Buying standard when you wanted a grail leads to disappointment the first time you look closely; buying top tier for something you will wear to the gym twice is money you did not need to spend. The right answer depends on the item and the use, not on always reaching for the most expensive option — and for some simple silhouettes a mid batch is nearly indistinguishable from top, so we will tell you when you can save.
